The Kimmel Center has three venues: the Verizon Hall which has 2,500 seats, the Perelman Theater which has 650 seats, and the Academy of Music which has 2,900 seats. The goal for the Kimmel Center was to create a place for the best performing arts companies of Philadelphia and for touring purposes.
